On ne se lasse jamais de voir le travail d’Ananda Nahu, une voix féminine dynamique au sein de la scène artistique foisonnante du Brésil, aux pochoirs si riches en couleur, culture et beauté. Ananda Nahu est née à Juazeiro, une ville tranquille à l’intérieur de Bahia. Ce territoire est en proie à la pauvreté, héritage d’un système injuste et raciste. Elle fait souvent le portrait de personnes qui ont été marginalisés par la société. Son travail n’en est que plus intense. Aux côtés d’Izolag avec qui elle est en couple, elle s’intéresse aussi à la musique et à ses icônes. Ananda et Izolag représentent en France et en Europe un véritable phénomène de fascination d’autant plus que leur travail a très rarement franchi l’Atlantique. Invités au Cans Festival, ils n’ont pas pu venir au dernier moment faute d’avoir eu une obtention de visa.

We can’t get enough of Brazilian artist, Ananda Nahu’s work. A dynamic female voice in the explosive street art scene of Brazil, Nahu’s stencil pieces are so rich in color, culture and beauty.
Ananda Nahu is a Brazilian artist born in Juazeiro, a quiet city in the interior of Bahia. This land is plagued by poverty; legacy of an unjust and racist system. She often portrays those who have been marginalized by society in her work.
Her work is even more intense. Alongside her boyfriend Izolag she is also interested about music and its icons.
Ananda and Izolag represent in France and Europe a genuine phenomenon of fascination since their work has rarely crossed the Atlantic. Guests of the Cans Festival, they could not come at the last moment because they didn’t succeed in getting a visa.
