Artiste-Ouvrier a commencé le pochoir en 1995 avec un style tout de suite très personnel. Il a été le premier à prendre soin de découper ses pochoirs en dentelle. Il se démarque également immédiatement par son approche de la polychromie. Il travaille l’usage de la couleur en alternant la découpe des blancs et des noirs. Le résultat est unique et c’est cette technique qu’il a voulu transmettre en fondant la WCA avec Is Bach (aujourd’hui JS) et 6Lex. Le collectif se compose maintenant de six membres avec en plus Jana, Marybel et Alba. Il a séjourné un certain temps à Hamburg en Allemagne où il a également fondé un collectif : ASA.
Il a une approche classicisante du pochoir par son iconographie qui s’inspire entre autre de la période victorienne avec les Préraphaélites et les artistes de la céssession viennoise. Il s’est affirmé comme l’un des pochoiristes français les plus importants de sa génération. Il a été reconnu au niveau international par son invitation au Cans Festival à Londres en mai 2008 et en juin 2008 il a été l’invité pour le parcours des Lézards de la Bièvre à Paris.
Artiste Ouvrier partage aujourd’hui son temps entre Caen, Hamburg et l’Ethiopie.

Il participe en ce moment avec ses deux collectifs français et allemand à une exposition collective à Hamburg aux côtés de War et Oré / He is currently featured with his French and German crews in a group show in Hamburg alongside War and Oré :

Artiste-Ouvrier started stencilling in 1995 with a style immediately very personal. He was the first to take care of cutting stencil very tight and precise. He also stands out in his approach to color. He works the use of color in the cutting of alternating whites and blacks. The result is unique and it is this technique that he wanted to convey in basis with the WCA with Is Bach (JS today) and 6Lex. The group now consists of six members with the addition of Jana, Marybel and Alba. He spent some time in Hamburg in Germany where he also founded a group: ASA.
His stencil’s inspiration is very classical through his iconography inspired, among other of the Victorian period with the Pre-Raphaelites and the artists of the Viennese céssession. He has emerged as one of the stencils French most important of his generation. He has been internationally recognized by his invitation to the Cans Festival in London in May 2008 and June 2008 he was invited to the course of the Lézards de la Bièvre in Paris.
Artiste-Ouvrier now divides his time between Caen, Hamburg and Ethiopia.
