« Une superbe commande officielle de la part du Royal Albert Hall a été faite sous la forme d’une fresque permanene au Wonderland collective. En l’espace de 4 jours les murs du foyer ont été transformés par une équipe de 9 artistes afin de représenterles 138 ans d’histoire de ce lieu célèbre dans le monde entier. Les peintures murales hautes de plus de trois mètres sont un voyage graphique à travers quelques-uns des moments les plus mémorables de l’existence du Royal Albert Hall, une dédicace aux musiciens emblématiques qui ont honoré la scèné légendaire de ce lieu il s’agit de Jimi Hendrix, Pavarotti, Eric Clapton, The Killers, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Oasis, Cream et Dame Shirley Bassey, pour n’en nommer que quelques-uns.
LOAD est le premier événement qui va permettre au public l’expérience des souterrains de l’édifice, car il est utilisé uniquement comme entrée des artistes. Avec environ 350 spectacles et événements, qui se tiennent ici chaque année, ces oeuvres accueilleront durant les années à venir les milliers de personnes qui font que tout cela a une raison d’être. Au cours des dernières 138 années, le Royal Albert Hall a été l’hôte d’un nombre sans précédent de repères culturels, LOAD fusionne à la fois ce patrimoine et l’ambiance classique de l’édifice avec la reconnaissance et la signification d’une culture populaire contemporaine.
Cette oeuvre globale intègre les audacieuses et belles techniques et styles qui ont évolué depuis le graffiti et le street art, avec l’objectif principal de produire un chef-d’œuvre visuel qui défie l’épreuve du temps et des tendances, un hommage à l’histoire et un symbole de l’avenir pour ce point de repère culturel. »

« Here is the amazing artwork commissioned as a permanent feature at the Royal Albert Hall. Over the space of 4 days the walls of the loading bay area, have been transformed by a team of 9 artists from the Wonderland Collective, depicting the 138-year history of this world famous venue.
The 10ft high murals, across a 1,125 square meter space are a graphical journey through some of the most memorable moments in the Hall’s existence, the heritage of the Proms and a dedication to the iconic musicians to have graced the Hall’s legendary stage, this includes; Jimi Hendrix, Pavarotti, Eric Clapton, The Killers, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Oasis, Cream and Dame Shirley Bassey to name just a few.
LOAD is the first ever event that will allow the public to experience the underground workings of the building, as it is used solely as an artist and production entrance. With approx 350 shows and events being held at the Hall each year, the artwork will welcome the thousands of individuals who make it all happen for years to come. Throughout the last 138 years the Royal Albert Hall has been host to an unprecedented number of cultural milestones, LOAD fuses together this heritage and classic ambiance of the building with the recognition and signification of a contemporary grass roots culture.
The artwork incorporates the bold and beautiful techniques and styles that have evolved from graffiti and street art; with the main focus to produce a visual masterpiece that will stand the test of time and trends, a homage to the history and a symbol of the future for this cultural landmark. »
