A Street Art project for Green Day

We finally now access all informations on the unusual and ambitious project involving the bridge between Street Art and Music, which was organized around the Green Day band. Logan Hicks, beyond to be the great stencil artist he is, is also a fan of die-hard punk-rock as a good curator as he improved during the past editions of Primary Flight during Art Basel Miami. This time he was responsible for selecting 18 street artists. Each of them had to produce an artwork based on a track from the new Green Day album, “21st Century Breakdown.” All these works as well as portraits of the group members, Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt made by Logan Hicks will be exhibited throughout the tour band.
Ten stencil artists, including Logan Hicks, are invested in this project that seems much more than commercial: Broken Crow, C215, Lucamaleonte, Chris Stain, M-City, Adam 5100, Peat Wollaeger, Sadhu and Pisa 73. It seems that everyone has played the game for inspiration and interpretation of songs from the album and the result by some artists is quite surprisingly interesting regarding to their usual work. Further down the detail parts.
