ADAM 5100
Adam 5100 a fait ses études au California College of the Arts où il fut pour le moins distingué.
Sa plus importante influence fut le chemin parcouru entre la photographie classique américaine dont il a retenu un portait réaliste de l’histoire de l’Amérique, de la vie de ses habitants, et la liberté de la peinture moderne et contemporaine.
Il combine aujourd’hui dans son travail au pochoir une connaissance précise de l’impression, de par son apprentissage de la sérigraphie, et une grande habileté dans la pratique de la bombe. Chaque pièce pochée représente plusieurs dizaines d’heures de travail méticuleux et détaillé – sa marque de fabrique. De son aveu, il a choisi de faire des images réalistes car il ressentait le besoin de prouver sa capacité à réaliser des peintures techniques, qui donnent le mérite et le crédit d’être capable d’aller où vous voulez artistiquement.
Durant l’été 2008, il a exposé à la Galerie White Walls à San Francisco aux cotés de Michael Genovese. Ses nouveaux travaux en grands formats jouent sur une perspective architecturale en contre-plongée tout en symétrie. Une réussite.

Most important for him was the sweep from classic American photography, which he took as a realistic portrayal of the history of America, of the life and times of its people, to the freedom of modern and contemporary painting
Adam 5100 uses an extensive knowledge of printmaking and savvy ability with spray paint in his stencil work. Each stenciled piece represents hundreds of hours of meticulous work and a fine detail–the hallmark of his work. According to him, he needed to prove that he had the basic ability to make technique paintings, which gives you the merit and credit to be able to go where ever you want artistically.
During the summer 2008 he exposed at the Gallery White Walls of San Francisco with the artist Michael Genovese. His new big scales work on the architectural view in tilt-up with an interesting symmetrie. A big success !
