BTOY (SPAIN, Barcelona)

Btoy est composé d’Illia Mayer et d’Andrea Michaelsson. Illia est spécialisé dans l’illustration et la musique tandis qu’Andrea est plus centrée sur les pochoirs et la photographie. Avec le pochoir elle a pu développer ses connaissances dans le champ de la photo et lui donner une approche plus graphique.
Leurs sources d’inspiration sont nombreuses : la culture japonaise, manga, la sience fiction, les romans de GJ Ballard, Stanislaw Lem ou Ray Bradbury, les vieilles ruines, la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, Dada, Warhol, Basquiat, la musique éléctronique…
Btoy continue de travailler dans la rue malgré les difficultés que connaît le Street Art à Barcelone et ses pochoirs sur affiches et papier de riz voyagent à travers l’Europe.

Btoy is made up of Ilia Mayer and Andrea Michaelsson. Ilia is specialized in illustration and musical production, while Andrea is more focused on stencils and photography. With the stencil technique she was able to develop her knowledge in the field of photography and give it a more graphical approach.
Their sources of inspiration are numerous: Japanese culture, Manga, science fiction, novels by GJ Ballard, Stanislaw Lem or Ray Bradbury, old ruins, Second World War, Dada, Warhol, Basquiat, electronic music…
Btoy keeps working in the streets despite the difficulties facing the Street Ar in Barcelona and pasting stencils and posters on rice paper travelling through Europe.
